Default Light Upgrade?

i have a 29 gallon with a t5 ho fixture (aquasun). however it is only a 2 bulb with a total of 48w. 48w/29g= 1.65wpg. i am attempting to start a nice planted tank, and i dont want my light holding me back. it seems really bright to me and its a "HO". but the wpg is still sorta low. any thoughts on a reasonably priced unit that may be more powerful? or am i okay?

WPG doesn't apply to T5 bulbs, much less HO. That is the same fixture (not the same brand) that I have on my 29g. You'll have no problem with anything you want to grow.

WPG isn't really an accurate way to measure lighting. You could have a PC fixture that has the same wattage as a T5 fixture and the T5 would still put out more light.

Right, T5HO fixtures "usually" have individual reflectors and the light effectiveness can be as much as 4 times the actual wattage.
