Got a couple more plants this weekend. Got a nice little clump of narrow leaf java fern, a couple regular java ferns, and about 7 sprigs of wisteria (difformis). It's starting to look pretty good. I also got a nice little piece of driftwood currently making tannin tea in the kitchen. Hopefully it doesn't take vey long for it to leach out cause I can't wait to put it in the tank. Right now the java ferns are tied to a piece of plastic canvas which is buied in the gravel (with just enough rocks on it to hold it down, the ferns are resting on the surface of the gravel, I did the same thing with my anubias).
So far all the plants look good. The new bulb (Aqueon Floramax) I got makes the plants look greener than the other bulb I had but it's not as bright. But I kinda like the slightly dimmer light. All and all I am happy with the way that it is starting to come together. Gonna look really good once the plants start growing in!! |
