??Do i still need to add laterite as a base if i am using ECO-COMPLETE????

ty all
finally decided on a substrate -- eco-complete
now lets see whats next
i very new to the planted tank-1week old
have been doing alot of research and reading.
looking for nice driftwood pieces--
ordered an aquaclear 110 to break up surface water
plants will be last and fish
Any suggestions--any on where to go next??

fw leiden since 1979, fo salt since 1979, mixed reef 55g 2002-2009. Strong emphasis on the tank taking care of itself. Balanced with plant life, no water changes, tap water, no filters in FW. Only dosing calcium, alk, mag in marine reef tanks. http://www.aquariumforum.com/f15/my-...ods-26410.html

Haha.

I like the Eco-Complete, but I'd only use it for small tanks. For bigger tanks I'd like to use your method since it's less costly but definitely worth more than two cents.
