Talking Co2

Hello all. I make a CO2 generator. You know the 2 liter bottle with the tube out the top hose into the tank with the bubble counter. This is in a 100 gal tank with a lot of floating greenery. Will this really help? I like to watch the bubbles and it is fun to make the mixture (all natural you know). I guess I want to know if it is big enough for the 100 gal tank or is it worth the effort.
My wife does not like the bottle on top of the tank. It seemed to be a fun thing to do and it is. Just like to know a little more about its value and benefits.
Thanks

Diy co2 doesn't work well with tanks over 40 gal, basically just wasteing ingrediants.

Yep...unfortunately it doesn't produce enough to have any affect on tanks that big. You would need a lot of bottles for that. Sry.

agreed. You could go the paintball route though. I think that you would go through a lot of canisters that way though.

For a 100 gallon however, I would strongly advise a full pressurized system. The efficiency and effectiveness make it worth it, in the long run.
