Default Can i gang 2 CO2 bottles?

I added ferts (osmocote0 to my semi planted tank. Now i see a breakouty of brown algea. Im gonna clean and PWC the tank as it is needed today but i was wondering something. COuld one of the reasons be that i am too low on my CO2 from the DIY co2 reactor. I was wondering if a can gang 2 bottles of co2 to the tank such as this...i would add a T connector to connect the 2 co2 bottles to the bubble counter to the tank

co2 bottle------|
************|----bubble counter------------tank
co2 bottle------|

How mature is this tank? Diatom algae can be from a new tank, to not enough light. But to answer your question....yes. Not sure of the size of tank, but I would definitely look into a drop checker.

!0 gal tank about 3 months old. I was able to buy my first master test kit and came back with
Amm-0
Ph-7.6
Nitrates -40
Nitrites-0

I had 2 15 watt cfl lights and yesterday put one 15 and one 23 watt. I may remove the 23 and go back to (2) 15 watts. Also a week ago i did my first ferts with the tank. I added Osmocote in pill casules. 4 capsules with about 10 osmocote balls in each. The plants didnt take off but i can see they responded well.

I remember something in school math or science if you add 2 things together you divide the results.
Kinda like having a gallon a water. It will fill a gallon bucket full but spread between 2 one gallon buckets you only get half a gallon in each. Is this what im doing here or should i get an increase in co2 from the 2 co2 bottles?
