Default Air Stones & Diffusers

I recently was given a juwel vison 180, and im in the process of getting the bits to get it up and running ie gravel, plants, ornaments etc.....

and while typing in google about what an air diffuser does, it took me back to here , so im sorry if im covering old ground.

Now i am a novice, so be gentle..... i have looked at possible getting the juwel diffuser, or an air pump as i want to have some air bubble going up the back of my tank either side under some gravel...but i dont know what the difference is.

please help

Default Re: Air Stones & Diffusers

An air diffuser just basically breaks the bubbles up to dissolve the oxygen in the water better. In order for one to work, however, you will need an air pump and some air line to hook up between the two.
