Well, I play professional poker, i'm not sure it drives him crazy, but he would probably rather not have me in a room with hundreds of guys for hours on end.

TPBM: what do you do to De-Stress?

a woodchuck is actually a groundhog.

The etymology of the name woodchuck is unrelated to wood or chucking. It stems from an Algonquian name for the animal (possibly Narragansett), wuchak. The apparent relationship between the two words has led to the common tongue twister: "How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood? — A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as he could if a woodchuck could chuck wood". Various response lines can answer this, including:

"As much wood as a woodchuck would if a woodchuck could chuck wood."[8]
"A woodchuck would chuck as much wood as a woodchuck could chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood."[9]
"A woodchuck would chuck all the wood, if a woodchuck only could."[10]
Groundhogs are sometimes eaten for food.[11]

If I thought they truly needed help I would do my best to help them out whether it be money, a hot meal or medical attention.

Well i think a hobby becomes an obsession when you can't think of anything else and you focus ALL your efforts on that. hopefully our fish hobby is a fun hobby and not an obsession. besides fishies, my other hobbies are poker, and fashion and crafts and games.

TPBM: what are your other hobbies besides fish keeping?

Fun thread!

One of my other hobbies besides fish keeping and growing corals is growing rare banana plants!

TPBM:
What's your earliest memory of going to a fish store to get fish for your tank?

One time, the temperature probe accidentally fell out of a reef of mine and the chiller never knew to turn itself off. By the time I got home to notice, the tank temperature dropped extremely low, down to about 60. It felt ice cold though, and there was condensation on the front of the glass. I quickly put in about seven heaters cranked to their maximum. Good thing I saved all those heaters over all these years, within maybe 30-60 minutes I had the temp rising fast to it's normal range.
I lost some corals because of that and now always make sure all probes are extremely secure in place!

TPBM: What type of fish have you had that you will never want to keep again?

I currently have some Yoyo loaches and although I love them they got much larger than they were slated to have grown. My biggest one is over 6 inches long and very active. He or she is intimidating to my other fish and I probably would not purchase them again. I also lost my Gypsy King Tiger Pleco yesterday and would not replace it as it also was too big for my tanks. (but I did love him) I replaced him with a Clown Pleco, I had lost my Clown Pleco during a water disaster earlier this year when our town's water supply became contaminated and I was not aware of it until I changed the water in my tank and it killed my fish. We (the whole town) were without water for a week.

What has been or is now your favorite fish of all times since you began keeping fish?

oh that's a tough question...there are 3 fish that hold a special place in my heart.
One, is Oscar, he was a common goldfish that my hubby moved from the front fountain to our community tank when i was doing mosaic on the fountain. he was the first fish to capture my heart and my fishie imagination. sadly he died when he went back to the fountain.

Two, is Frannie, she was a beautiful resuce commet from a spoiled tank on a job my hubby went to. he brought her home. her BIG fan tail and sweet face captured my heart. when she died, i cried for days.

Three, is Angel, my beautiful white betta who live only a short week or so. this was my dream betta and he touched me deeply from the moment i saw him. his rapid passing, during a difficult time in my life, symbolized that even small pleasures are unavailable to me in this dark time.

my current favorite fishie is my baby betta Patriot.
and my current heart break is my ailing betta Royal Blue. he is really struggling and it breaks my heart every day to see him suffer:confused:

sorry, i couldn't pick just one....:(

TPBM: if you won an all expenses paid vacation to anywhere for 2 weeks, where would you go and why?

Of my three tanks, my 55 is definately my favorite. However, I am currently breeding and raiding swords and balloon mollies, so that is my favorite at the moment.

TPBM: What is your stance on having a BCS playoff? (If you are for, how many teams?)
