Woooooooooohoooooooooooooo!!!!!!!
I got gold at the regional science olympiad for western long island! In the ornithology (bird studies) event, to be exact! It was my school's first year doing it! And there was only 9 kids for my school, so the chances were weak. Originally i was the only one for my school doing the ornithology event, but at the least minute garfreak526 was pushed into it to even everything out. So at 7am on a saturday morning we rode the bus to the host school. Ornthology was one of the first events at 9am, so i tried to practice hastily with garfreak526 in te gap we had in between arriving and the start of the event. When we did the event, i saw it as extremely easy while other kids seemed to struggle. Later at 4;30 or so they were announcing the winners, and we were so sure we won that we were already going down to the stairs from where we were in the balcony to the main floor. we were still so excited that when they called our school's name for 1st place that we both went running down the isle we both tripped into either and i fell, but that didn't stop anything. the lady handing out the medals even said how god the team did for the first year in the olympiad. though i wasn't in either of the events, the team won silver for meteorology and bronze for "Car of Tommorrow". Though that was yesterday im still ecstatic about winning first place out of the 43 schools particiapting in the olympiad! im still wearing the medal right now! and i found out that ther isn't ornithology as an event every year-it revolves around along with other animal studies! next year it could even be icthyology!! i still can't believe i got olympic gold!:D :D :D

I'm so sorry I haven't been on the forum in so long! Don't worry, I haven't forgotten this lovely website! I moved to a different county back in May 2011 and started high school in a totally different school district. So I'm still adjusting and studying hard, and don't presently have any aquariums. But once I do, I'll be right back on this forum!
