well, craigslist said the following:

"This posting has been flagged for removal
(The title on the listings page will be removed in just a few minutes.)"

thats too funny that they got rid of the post. lol.

It was basically a psyco lady who had no kids and LOVED children. She was wondering if she could find someone's kids and take them to the aquarium, or the baltimore science center or to go get ice cream! A compleate stranger with YOUR children!

Wierd.......

While I find this type of thing appalling, I also consider it very sad that there are people in this world who are so lonely that they need to advertise for family of any nature. You do not know that this person may not at some time have had a very sad family life or a horrible thing happen to them. I know of a woman who lost both her children and husband in the 9/11 tragedy and is so very lonely now as she was an orphan and has no one to celebrate holidays or birthdays or any other of the wonderful things she used to with. I feel some compassion for them although I realize the unwise thing that it would be to simply turn the children or anyone you care about over to this person, I can also see that there is pain there and I hope that instead of simply condemning her someone will see that she gets some help.

It truly is not a funny situation and I think quite disturbing that this is occuring with so little feeling being shown. So far as we know this person has not DONE anything other than post a cry for help...and I hope that someone helps her get it.

one more thing, the lady stated that she was going to collage but "not ready" for children yet. she wants to be a social worker. She has neices and nephews, and treats them like "they are her own." She is 19 years old.

"She" is a child rapist.

I'm sorry but you don't know what her intentions were. Yes she could be sad and lonely ( but why on Earth would you post this on line on a CLASSIFIEDS AD instead of volunteering at a hospital or maybe looking into babysitting or becoming a nanny? ) or there is the other very disturbing alternative I don't want to think about.

I personally did not see the ad but I was responding by what others saw..

I just think it's a little fishy. I am a very compassionate person but I'm sorry.. this is not the way to cry for help. Craigs list? Just fishy to me.

Then I am very sorry for your generation as there is something missing in that type of mindset. There is something to be said for compassion and there is something quite satisfying in practicing it. It is not naive to practice a little kindness and some of the words in the prior post are disgusting.
