So I finally got done paying off the ring I had on lay-away...yes I'm poor and used layaway...Now only if they could let you buy fish on layaway!


I need some help on proposing. I would like it to be as large scale. Something very public and very embarrassing (she gets my humor so don't think she wouldn't enjoy it).

Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking maybe publicly on an airplane, or setup a large sound system in times square. Any help would be appreciated. If it helps I live in Pittsburgh, so any large city within a 10 hour drive is fine by me.

My cousin did it at the top of the Eifel Tower but that may be a bit to far from you, but still even if she says no at least you get a holiday out of it even if it is in France.

You could ask at a big electronics store for them to announce it for you over the sound system and bend down in front of the camera so it shows on all the TV screens.

My husband proposed to me in private. We lived in CA at the time and him and our two best friends we by the ocean cliff side and proposed to me there.

Look on the internet for creative ways to propose. If she is a quiet private person, she may not like a totally public proposal. But if she is fun, outgoing and a little adventurous, you can plan a huge blow out. Maybe go to her families place and propose to her there in front of them. Be sure to ask her dad for permission, its one of the most romantic and respectful thing to do.

I saw tattooed fish at House of Tropicals over the weekend. You could see if they have or can do "Will You Marry Me?" each word on a different fish. Then just have each fish in a individual container in the right sequence so she has to look and read them.

Not saying tattooing fish is right or should be done.

I think that it depends on the type of person and what she likes. Maybe do it somewhere that is important to her or something. That would make it more...you know.
