Default The Honey Monster Part 1.

Our next door family neighbour Neerad loves honey and bee grubs. Here he has found a nest in a tree in the garden and these photos shows his successful attempt of recovering the honeycombe.

1. Neerad prepares his stick to get smoke to the nest to make the bees docile...it consists of a length of bamboo and cuconut fibre for the smoke.

2. Here he his blowing on the fibre to make the smoke.

3. Here he trying to get the smoke to reach the bee's nest but the bamboo stick is just a little bit too short.

4. Not too worry Neerad climbs on the garden wall to get the smoke closer to the bee's nest.

5. Convident that the smoke has done the job Neerad now climbs the tree to get to the bee's nest....2 reasons why you would not get me doing this...1st I don't like bee's especially mad bees...secondly have you seen how thin those breanch'es are!!!!

6. Neerad returns safly with his spoils

7. Close up of honeycombe and bee grubs
