Hello ...I've come here to discuss the PH in my goldfish tanks. I've had my two aquariums for more than 15 years and it's just now that I've been having problems with the PH. In one tank it's too low and the other too high. As you stated in a post I just read it may be my kit...it's probably much more than 6 months old, but I'm not sure...need to look. I've one goldfish in a 30 gallon tank, and one in an 18 gallon tank. Through the years they've had friends, but after the friend died I never gave their tanks other fish.

You never said what your ph values were. Goldfish like a ph above 7.5. Goldfish are directly related to Carp that that are native to high ph water. Take a sample of your water to your local fish dealer. They will usually test it for free. Also bring in a sample of your tap water. Often Tap water comes from wells and has a high ph. Goldfish are dirty and need frequent water changes.
