So, I am totally new to this. I just got a tank, and I am looking for filters, and pumps, and lights, and lots and lots of advice. If you could help me out, or just want to say hi, let me know.

Well, I have 2 tanks. I have a 20 gal long that is just the tank, and a 45 gal that is the tank and stand. I need a new top for the 45 gal for sure. But I really need some guidance on what kind of filters and equipment would be best. I know a bit about it all already, but I have barely scratched the surface of it all. I know that I want a fuge and sump and all that, but I am wondering if I need a different tank or if I can use the 20 gallon. I don't mind using it for that. I am not sure what type of modifications I would have to do to use it. Like I said, I have a basic understanding, but not a lot.

Welcome to the site! yes the 20long would be a good sump. you could seperate it by galass partitions and make a fuge built-in.

I moved to a different county back in May 2011 and started high school in a totally different school district. So I'm still adjusting and studying hard, and don't presently have any aquariums. But once I do, I'll be right back on this forum!
