Actually, that's a lovely picture! I love gouramis too but I tried them when I had no clue what I was doing and it didn't go well. I ended up having to bring my little guy back to the pet store. I would like to try them again when I know more. Especially about dwarf gourami disease. I never knew of such a thing until the other day. Always learning...

Thanks everyone!
@cadiedid i was a bit hesitant at first of this as well because of the disease. I somehow luck out and get all the sick fish untill i found that i have a really nice local tropical fish store. He actually bred them there so i know its not from a china breed tank. the only issue ive had with him is the pleco??? (even my tiger barbs arent nippy) but my pleco has a spot in this Asian hut thing and whenever the gourami goes near it he chases down!! The pleco is the most dominant fish in my tank actually :p other than that he is doing well. i have a lily pad floating at the top and he very much enjoys having larger at the surface to hide under too :p

Wow. I wish I had a source like that. I know it's rampart in this country now too but if he's got generations of stock they should be adequately quarantined I would think. My gourami was listed as a dwarf flame honey gourami or something like that at the LFS. It was not much bigger than my thumbnail and so pretty. When I learn how to care for goiramis and whether that type is susceptible to the disease I'd like to give it another go.

Oh, and we have a little floating lily pad too and my fish like it too.
