Default New Biocube 29

Hello everyone! I have recently (3 weeks ago) set up a new biocube 29. everything was going well until I did a water change today. now the powerhead outlet is spewing clouds of tiny bubbles. Water levels are good. I tried repositioning the pump to no avail. Great for aeration but my tank looks like a snow globe! Any suggestions?

Hi,
If you changed out more than 1/3 of the water in your tank, you will likely see many tiny bubbles when refilled, and they will coat everything. They are dissolved gases in tap water and will disapate over a few days time. Check if your power head has an air intake valve, those can be adjusted to not mix so much air with water. Generally, if you have fish in the tank, you do not need to remove more than 1/4 to 1/3 of the water per change. Sometimes doing any more than that can do more harm to beneficial bacteria colonies than good. Welcome to the forum

Thanks for all the welcomes! I actually fixed the problem. It ends up i just had to overfill the pump chamber in the back a little.

Tank is looking better now! Levels are good and the Clowns seem happy. One of the fish went AWOL over the back of the tank into the pump compartment last night. You should have seen my panicked pregnant wife holding the flashlight while I chased the fish around with a net. Hilarious!
