Hi!
Why I joined: To post a question under the freshwater illness forum. Please check it out and add some input. Thank you! About me personally: I like down to earth living with soft candles and tranquility. I enjoy the smell of NH's pine trees on a nice nature walk. I love to dance and am not afraid to get up in the cages in a club. I try to eat well and shop at the whole foods market, but this lifestyle change is a new and welcome addition to my life so I'm still learning. I have facebook but dislike facebook's lack of anonymity. So I will not be joining this site with facebook. I chose Opal as my screen name because it is a beautiful stone and my birthday is in October. My experience with animals: 5+ years as a museum nature center educator (including freshwater fish) 1 year as a dog trainer (felt like i was training people more than their pets and they kept coming to me for quick fix problems and not listening. So...i left. Guess im not patient enough for that job :P) 1 year as a zoo educator. My experience with fish: In addition to the zoo and museum jobs I worked part time at a pet store and was lucky to work with a man that had been a professional in the fish industry and was working at a pet store in retirement. I would say I am above average in knowledge compared to the general public. I know about water treatments, various species, feeding, and many treatments. However, compared to many on this site I'm probably a beginner ![]() Excited to learn more! ~Opal |
