Please add a way to filter out the "NEW POST" view so you only see new posts in the forums you want to see them from.

This would require a lot of work. We have enough on our plate that we want to do to improve this place.
Just wondering though, how many forums do you want to see posts from when you click the New Posts link, approximately?

I my self would like to only see groups like FW, SW, Sponors, etc... I would probably only view FW, Sponors, Other under New Posts. No offense my main one I want removed is the Introductions. They all sign up and then don't participate in polls or really the forum in general.

Unfortunately a lot of users sign up to get solutions to a problem, not chat and participate in the forum. It's up to us to reel them in (har har pun) and get them involved.

No doubt I'd just like a way to filter out some of the new posts. Don't need to see 30 introductions of "Welcome to the Forum" from someone that signed in and caught up with all of the new members they missed. Or make introductions so they can't be replied to, this would force people to actually post questions in the appropriate place.

But the purpose of the intro forum is for the new user to say hi and for everyone to welcome that user which when done makes the new user feel welcome. Some might have to learn which forums to post in with questions, but remember we were all new at one time.

I agree that everyone should feel welcomed, but I think it's a bit redundant having the welcome button AND just posting "welcome" thus one day you see someone catching up and a bunch of old threads have been necro'd and showing up as new posts. :3

I see the point of some basic filtering on the new posts section as id rather see only FW posts

A drop down bar would be ideal with options like FW , SW , All , Sponsors , Announcements (so it includes all the important stuff and welcome new members etc)

So instead of doing endless amounts of filters just use a select 4 or 5 options to help filter the posts. Although i know even that could take some time to configure but as the OP said it would just make things so much easier for members to see what they want to see instead of endless amounts of new posts they have to go through just to see what they actually want to see.
