"Like" button?

I've seen a bunch of different comments and advice that people have posted, and quite often I've found myself thinking this site needs a 'like' button (kinda' like facebook has), so we can 'like' topics, advice and responses. (Sometimes I don't want or need to write out a response to something, but I would like to let the person/people know that I "like" their ideas.

Maybe have it beside the "thanks" button?

I don't know... just an idea.

I wouldn't mind it... I was conditioned to "like" it... pun not intended? <.<

Yes, and put it beside that. You know how sometimes when you don't need to say 'thanks' but you want to just 'like' someones comment or joke......

There was another thread about this in Feedback... So you're not the only one who would want this Holly... It didn't last too long though. Guess not many people are interested in this. :o

It would not be hard to do. Most of the code from the thanks button could be used.

It would be awesome to get it though! Instead of just making a little post that says, "hahaha!" or "LOL!" or "I agree!" or "I've enjoyed watching this thread/post develop", you can just click a button and "like" it.

Any thing like this will take some time as Jarred is very busy at the moment. He does keep an eye out on all of this kind of suggestions though.

Will give this some thought, thanks for the suggestion. It is quite similar to what we have already with the Thanks button but I see what you mean, there are times you dont want to say Thanks but you do want to indicate that you Like a post.

Oh so i see our little discussion on like has developed here holly lol. But i agree sometimes I feel a 'like' is more appropriate than saying thanks as they meet two different needs.
