Thumbs up Conversion charts

DrHank, has approached me with the idea of adding conversion charts to the site, possibly at the top where new posts etc. is now as a drop down maybe that would show those conversion charts, such as water volume in a 55 or whatever and he has the link to a good list of them. It could go where daily posts are now, since, do we need both new posts and daily posts both up there??? I think this a good idea, what do the troops think ???? And since Jarred is the Guru of all things mechanical here, what does he think ??

We have a temperature and volume converter.
We can add a weight converter.
What else would you like to see?
List them and we will add them.
To access the existing temperature and volume converter, just click the Search link at the top and the tool will fold-out.

Possible choices that would be very useful Aquarium Capacity Calculator Have a tank, and the demensions LXHXW and would like to know how much water it will hold.

Heater Wattage Calculator
This tool is very helpful when calculating how many watts of total heating you need for your tank.

Aquarium Substrate Quantity Calculator

how many pounds of substrate to purchase to get a specified substrate thickness for any size aquarium.

Many converters already exist without posting anything. Try typing "3 cubic feet in US gallons" in a Google toolbar and see what you get, or "17C in degrees F". There are some less standard calculations that are specific to fishkeeping including the substrate calculation and the heater wattage calculation but simple unit conversions are no longer a thing that needs a special list or calculator in a forum.

hmmm. perhaps a converter for volume like JIM mentioned. i dont know if this is possible, but a converter to find out how much weight your tank can hold before it breaks? just a thought.
