Title says it all. We have pages of unanswered posts, both new, and old, and i think that it would be a good idea and perhaps interesting, and yet beneficial to perhaps have a day in which everyone can answer these disregarded threads...

Even if the OP does not see it, it might help others with the same question later.

As a Newbie on the forum there is already enough activity on the forum with a wealth of information to look through.

Personally if no one has posted by now to a question i say trim the dead wood and make the forum more informative.

It is fine not to go back to answer those posts that are long past, but sometimes even the staff can miss an important post no matter how hard they try. It is not the staff alone who can offer great ideas, that is what a forum is about. Sometimes on forums, the members get into the idea that it is the JOB of the staff to answer everything and the whole idea is for everyone to share ideas. So anyone who is a member that has a response to the questions can and should answer them. When a good discussion gets going that is what this is all about. Like was mentioned, sometimes the person posting will not see the post anymore but someone coming on and perhaps not feeling confident to post will perhaps need the information. An answer is not ever out of place.

There are a lot of posts on that Unanswered Posts page that do not need any answer as they are announcements and such but there can and sometimes are posts that are desperate to be answered, and lately I have seen some that have had a lot of folks "viewing" them but no answers of any kind. That really should not happen. When a member sees a post of that type, it is really the kind thing to give a response if you know of a helpful tip.

A lot of them in fact the majority are not the kind that need an answer. They are announcements, sales, and things that we do not need to respond to . BUT occasionally, there is a post that truly needs to be answered. Those are the ones i worry about.

But everyone knows that i worry a lot about stuff and you can consider the source. LOL.

OK, I went back through the 2 years of unanswered posts and answered all of the ones that I found that were not announcements, sales or wtb iterms, or new member posts from before i got here. I will continue to monitor the area on a daily basis while I can be here and hopefully will be able to stay on top of it.
