Default Adding your location to the user map (AKA IQ test)

Aquarium Forum - Googlemap ME Is the usermap, and http://www.aquariumforum.com/vbgoogl...?do=addelement is where I locate where I live..

By zooming in, I got right on top of my house and added a title..

But - where are the instructions of what to put in those last two entries? The ones labled: "Marker text" & "URL of the image for the marker".

I repeated the content of "Marker Title" in the "Marker Text" box (seems redundent, but seems to be what everyone else is doing?). For the URL, I *guessed* that it should be the URL for the green peg, which is http://www.aquariumforum.com/images/...m_20_green.png.

Though my ID shows up in the "List Users", it does NOT show the green peg at my location (Portland, OR)..

I note that many other users are missing their "Marker" in the user list, and others can't seem to figure out the difference of "Title" and "Small text" either (is there one??).

How about some explanation on that 'create your location' page??

Bob K.

P.S. Just rechecked & it seems that the URL is getting cut off. Though my entry shows: the 'green' peg,
when I list users, my entry shows the red X with properties showing the 'green' missing from the URL,
COPIED from my URL box: http://www.aquariumforum.com/images/...m_20_green.png,
COPIED from properties of my peg in list: http://www.aquariumforum.com/images/...pme/mm_20_.png

Hi Bob, agree.. its confusing. Let me make a change or two there and get back with you. I will delete the url to the image thing as its really not necessary. Regarding why your pin isnt showing up thats something else I will look into. Perhaps some characters someone used somewhere are breaking the XML file... I have an idea why it might not be working and think I know how to patch it. Give me a few...
