It's possible, we are evaluating a few prospective moderators to add to the team. Keep doing a good job at being a responsible community member, reporting posts, etc and we'll consider your application when we add more. Thanks!

Why not make it easy to report spam with a simple click of the mouse like other forums have?

But you have to open the thread to click the button. Why give them the satisfaction of opening their crap. You should be able to report it from the main directory.

The only problem with that is if something isn't spam then it creates more work for the mods. I understand the point you are making, but like everything else, there are always drawbacks.

That doesn't make sense. You can hover over the title and read the first few sentences of the post, seeing its gibberish so no extra work required.
I am consdiering droping out of several smaller reef forums simply because they don't keep up with the spam and garbage threads. The larger forums don't have this problem and is probably why they have become larger and more popular, paying attention to detail and protecting their users. I love contributing to the forums but don't need my spam checker popping up all the time either.

I guess I didn't think of that. I honestly never hover on threads and forgot that was even a feature lol.

Well I look at it this way, We are not other boards, We are smaller than they are and like it that way. Its a friendlier place than most. I know I belong to some of the biggest ones in the world. Most are very impersonal and you can't just get in there and make friends like you can here.

And besides your the only one in the entire time I have been here to see complain about it. There is no sense in changing something that has been working good for everyone except for 1 person.

1proudwitch,your questions will not be deleted. We are here to help. There is alot of people who dont know much and my personal philosophy is there are no stupid questions except those not asked,so ask away :D

Most of the spam is easy to tell by the subject,so you dont have to open it if you dont want to.

When we are speaking of spam, it's basically posts like talking about ugg boots, chanel purses. Or a seller that hits a lot of threads selling different things without being a sponser.

People that posts questions are not considered spam. Even the silly questions like the one about the peanut butter sandwich is left alone as its not the same thing.

Reading the forum rules is a good place to learn what we are talking about. Example several people come here and put links in there sigs pertaining to LED llighting site by *****. If they are not a sponser the links aren't allowed to stay. They are asked to remove them. If they don't they get removed for spamming the board.
