Rejoice with me as we celebrate the addition of 3 fine members of our community to the moderation team.
Today, Majerah1, Scuff, and Jrman83 join us as new additions to our staff.

Here is a little bit of random info about them:

Majerah1
Breeds bettas, has some endangered mouthbrooders and bubblenesters right now. She is hoping to make wild bettas a common occurance in hobbyists aquaria. She also likes to draw and can occasionally be caught playing video games.


Scuff
Has been in the retail aquatics industry for the last ten years, working in LFS all over New England. From freshwater fish to marine fish and corals, to pond fish and plants, Scuff has likely sold it all. Currently he is running the fish/reptile room in an LFS in New England, carrying just about everything anyone could want for fish and corals. Scuff's main goal here on Aquarium Forum is to help people and show them that not all retail fish employees are hopeless feebs, and maybe teach them a few things along the way!


Jrman83
has kept FW tanks off and on for the last 5yrs. Currently he has 4 hi-tech planted tanks, and is 45yrs old, single, and lives in Maryland. He has been in the Military for the last 26yrs - US Navy.

Congrats to all of you. What exactly are the duties of a moderator? I've always thought about asking, but always saw another question on the forum I wanted to read and never got around to asking. So, now I'm asking.

Around here it's primarily banning spambots, moving threads that need to be moved, etc. But mostly spambots. I think that's about all the moderation I've had to do in the last few days; everyone's nice enough to each other around here that we rarely need to step in and bring the hammer down on anyone.
