Default Green Spot Algee

I have, what I believe to be green spot algae begining to grow in my planted tank. I have carried out some research and believe it is hard to remove. Having reduced the time of lights and increased my water change to remove nutrients the problem is still present. Does any one have an solutions to battle this, my loaches and pleco do not seem up to the job, hey at least the pleco is not eating my plants!
