Default Re: What New Fish???

didnt't you post another topic on this?

Aqua expert, the aquarium hobby is a fun and exciting hobby, but inorder to truly succeed in this hobby, you must understand that you should ALWAYS strive to make sure that your fish are happy. You cannot overstock. Trust me, I understand you want to put more fish in there. Im in your same position right now. I just bought a 56 gallon tank, and im beginning the long and tedious process of cycling it. Trust me... Not very exciting...

Platies would be great! A pair of them would be fine. perhaps a PAIR of swordtails could be a nice addition. Cories are truely great fish; very docile, easy to keep, and they are great janators. :-) but to be happy, they belong in groups of four or more.

If I were you, I would get either a PAIR of swordtails, Platies, or three guppies or so. (two female, one male.)

Remember, anything more would put stress on the fishes. But some platies would make a good addition. :-)

OH, and one more thing. German Blue Rams are hard to keep. They need a atleast a 20 gallon tank. They only live about two years, and they are ultra-sensative to water changes, so it is generally adviseable to try to stay away from them if you are new to the aquarium hobby.
